Prior to joining USA Today, he was a freelance writer working with outlets including ESPN, MLS, The Guardian and his own Getting CONCACAFed newsletter.
He also launched Football Cities, a YouTube series exploring how sports fit in with the food, drink and overall culture in places around the region.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, he is based in Dallas.
