Unrivaled signs Olympian, WNBA guard Marine Johannès to 2027 roster

On Monday, the 3-on-3 basketball league Unrivaled announced that the WNBA guard signed a multi-year deal with the organization. Johannès, 31, will make her debut in 2027, when Unrivaled's third season begins. The club Johannès will play will be announced at a later date. Johannès joins Olivia Miles, Gabby Williams, Flau'jae Johnson and Bridget Carleton on the list of recent signees.
"I’m incredibly excited to join Unrivaled for next season! It’s a unique opportunity to compete alongside some of the best players in the world and continue growing my game," Johannès said via release. "I’ve heard so many great things about the league, and I can’t wait to be part of it, meet my new teammates, and experience everything Unrivaled has to offer. Looking forward to getting started."

Johannès, who has spent five seasons in the WNBA with the New York Liberty, is averaging 9.7 points, a career-high 2.6 rebounds and three assists per game in 24 minutes of play.
The Lisieux, France native, known for her incredible 3-point shooting range and creative shot-making, has spent more than a decade with the France national team, winning a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and a bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
During the 2025-2026 international season, she spent time with Galatasaray, averaging 8.8 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. Johannès also had a five-year stint with French club ASVEL Feminin, where in 2023 she won a EuroCup title and Finals MVP honors after a 20-point, six-assist outing against Galatasaray.
