Kendrick Lamar makes history at the 2026 Grammys — Check out his wins

"Peekaboo"! Kendrick Lamar continues his reign as a rap giant at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

At the 68th ceremony on Sunday night, Lamar dethroned Jay-Z as the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history after taking home the gramophone for best rap album for "GNX."

The 12-track album, released in November 2024, came at the tail-end of the height of the beef with Canadian rapper Drake.

So far, he has won five Grammys: best rap song for "tv off," best rap performance for his contribution to The Clipse's "Chains & Whips," best rap album for "GNX," and record of the year and best melodic rap performance for "Luther" with SZA.

The new additions leave him with 27 wins and 66 nominations. Jay-Z has earned 25 wins.

How many Grammy nominations does Kendrick Lamar have?

Lamar was nominated nine times this year, two of which are for his surprise studio album "GNX." The project received nods for album of the year and best rap album.

"Luther," his alluring hip hop R&B track with longtime collaborator SZA, was nominated for song of the year, record of the year, and best melodic rap performance.

The duo is fresh off a successful 2025 with their Super Bowl performance and their record breaking Grand National Tour.
