Passengers on a commercial flight bound for the United Kingdom were recently forced to evacuate the aircraft using emergency slides after a vape reportedly exploded inside a carry-on bag on board.

Video provided by Malachi Griffith shows the horrifying moment smoke filled the cabin of an easyJet flight, and passengers on board at an international airport in Greece scrambled to deplane.

Flight EZY8261 from Heraklion, Crete, a port city on an island in the country, was set to depart for London Gatwick Airport early Tuesday afternoon when “popping noises and smoke filled the cabin," The Independent news outlet reported.

Footage shows passengers grabbing belongings from overhead bins, and some walking towards emergency exits to abandon the plane.

Smoke is seen swirling behind them in the video.

All 236 passengers were evacuated from the flight via the plane's slide onto the runway "within minutes," the outlet reported.
