Just in time for Pokémon Day, Nintendo is re-releasing the coveted Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version for the Nintendo Switch 2 on Feb. 27. The role-playing games will be available as digital-only releases in English, Spanish and French.
The first Pokémon video games, FireRed and LeafGreen, debuted in Japan in 1996 before their U.S. release on the Game Boy Advance in 2004. The re-released games will feature the original gameplay, soundtrack and characters fans know and love. Multiplayer will also be available via local co-op.
