Apple announces exclusive March event. What we know so far.

Apple is hosting an exclusive "special experience" in early March, inviting a select group of tech influencers and media outlets to in-person events in New York City, London and Shanghai.

The invitation, scheduled for Wednesday, March 4 at 9 a.m. ET, was shared publicly by 9to5Mac Editor-in-Chief Chance Miller, who received one, along with other social media posts circulating on Monday, Feb. 16. The invite offer few details beyond labeling the gathering as a "Special Apple Experience." USA TODAY has reached out to apple for comment.

Apple typically hosts large, highly produced events to unveil new products. Its September 2025 showcase introduced the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, a new Apple Watch and a new set of AirPods. But the short notice and vague details surround the March event have left industry watchers, including Miller, unsure of the media giant will announce anything too big.

What new Apple products could be announced?

While no new products have been confirmed, expert technology outlets 9to5Mac and MacRumors have their theories on a few releases including the iPhone 17e, a cheaper, simplified version of the iPhone 17. An upgraded iPad, iPad Air, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air could also be in the works, each with improved computer chips.

There have also been rumors about Apple's long-awaiting smart home hub, similar to an Alexa device but with the voice of Siri, and a security camera to partner with the former.
