Updated World Cup Group D standings, bracket: Where do USA, Turkey rank?

Only one thing is certain in the World Cup Group D standings: The United States men's national team is moving on.

Otherwise, everything else is up for grabs as the final matches of the group stage take place at the same time in California.

The USA won't have anything to prove against Turkey after winning its first two matches with relative ease. However, Thursday's game in Inglewood will give attacker Christian Pulisic an opportunity to get back in the flow after he sat out the Americans' 2-0 victory over Australia.

Meanwhile, second place in the group is up for grabs when Australia faces Paraguay in Santa Clara. The Aussies have the upper hand in goal differential should the match end in a draw.

Turkey has been eliminated.
