Michael Crabtree reaches three-year deal with Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have made their biggest addition of the offseason in the reshaping of their receiving corps.

Michael Crabtree agreed to a three-year deal with the team on Friday.

“Michael has played very well against the Ravens, so we know firsthand the attributes he brings to the game,” general manager Ozzie Newsome said in a statement. “He is a smart, tough, physical receiver who battles for the ball. We like his temperament and believe he is a good fit for our football team, on and off the field.”

Crabtree, 30, was released by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday after the team signed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Crabtree had a career-low 618 receiving yards last season, but 

The Ravens also signed former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John "Smokey" Brown this offseason. The team agreed to terms with ex-Washington Redskins receiver Ryan Grant, but the deal was voided after a failed physical.

Baltimore also released Jeremy Maclin and has not re-signed Mike Wallace.

The Ravens ranked 29th in passing offense last year with just 189 yards per game.
