Buffalo Bulls running back Devin Campbell (21) is tackled by Baylor Bears safety Alfred Pullom (12).

Wednesday night's Kent State-Buffalo football game in Buffalo has been cancelled due to extreme snow, the Mid-American Conference announced.

Officials will determine Thursday whether or not the game can be played then or another day.

Postponing the game, which was scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET and air on ESPNU, does have some implications for Buffalo. The 4-6 Bulls are trying to become bowl-eligible and have only two games remaining: this matchup vs. Kent State and an away game at Massachusetts.

There is between two and three feet of snow on the ground and more is expected to fall in the coming days.

According to Cleveland.com, Kent State's bus was re-routed due to the storm, tripling the length of the original trip.
