Rose Bowl tickets, parking, time and what to know about Indiana-Alabama game

Much like the rest of the college football landscape, the 2026 edition of The Granddaddy of Them All looks a bit different than in years past. The 112th Rose Bowl Game will feature a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup between No. 1 Indiana (13-0) and No. 9 Alabama (11-3).

The two teams' respective histories in Pasadena couldn't be more opposite: Thursday will mark the Hoosiers' first Rose Bowl appearance since 1968, while the Crimson Tide will play in their ninth Rose Bowl, the most of any non-Big Ten or Pac-12 team.

Alabama and Indiana also share another close tie as Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti spent four years as a receivers and recruiting coordinator at Alabama from 2007-11 under Nick Saban, who Cignetti credited as a major part of his journey.

Rose Bowl tickets, price and how to buy

Tickets for the Rose Bowl can be purchased online via Ticketmaster, where the get-in price is $117.81 as of Dec. 30. Fans can also buy tickets on secondary market apps such as StubHub, SeatGeek, GameTime and TickPick. Tickets can be found as low as $89 on StubHub as of Tuesday evening.

The Rose Bowl was offering ticket packages through On Location for fans traveling to the game, which included pregame tailgate access, hospitality and travel accommodations, but those appear to have sold out.

Rose Bowl parking and traffic for possible rain

The parking lots open at 4 a.m. on Thursday. According to the Rose Bowl website, general parking is available in Lots H, 1-4, 6, and 8-10 on a first-come, first-served basis for $69 in advance or $80 on game day.

Rain is forecasted for game day, which would not only impact traffic (which is already high on New Years Day due to both the Rose Bowl and the Tournament of Roses Parade), but it also means the golf course parking lots will likely be closed. Instead, the Pasadena Police Department would manage street parking.

Taxis and rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft aren't allowed to pick up or drop off at the stadium; their designated dropoff location is on Holly St. between Fair Oaks Ave. and Raymond Ave, from which fans can take a free shuttle to the Rose Bowl. The shuttles run continuously from 10 a.m. until approximately two hours after the end of the game.

For those taking public transportation, the Metro A Line (formerly the Blue Line) is the best bet. The closest stop is the Memorial Park Station in Pasadena, two blocks away from the shuttle pickup location.

The Hoosiers have ridden an unprecedented undefeated season led by Heisman Trophy winner and next spring's potential top NFL draft pick Fernando Mendoza under center, who threw a school-record 33 touchdowns in a single season on 2,980 yards. Running back Roman Hemby is one of just two active FBS players with 3,000 career rushing yards and 1,000 career receiving yards.

Their defense is anchored by a pair of linebackers in senior Aiden Fisher (77 tackles, 7 for loss) and sophomore Rolijah Hardy (86 tackles, 13 for loss), but they will be without a major piece after defensive end Stephen Daley suffered a serious leg injury while celebrating the Hoosiers' Big Ten championship win on Dec. 8. Daley had the second-most tackles for loss in the FBS this season (19).

As the No. 1 seed and Big Ten champions, Indiana -- the program that entered this season with the most losses out of any FBS team -- is coming off a first-round bye, three games away from history.

Alabama will be playing in their ninth Rose Bowl but first under head coach Kalen DeBoer. Junior QB Ty Simpson led the SEC with 3,500 passing yards. The Crimson Tide's journey to this year's CFP has been a bit different than they're used to: they were staring down a 17-0 first-half hole at Oklahoma in the first round on Dec. 19 before rallying back for a 34-24 victory to punch their ticket to the Quarterfinal.
