LeBron James next team odds: Which team is favored to sign 4-time MVP?
LeBron James is no longer a Los Angeles Laker.
The 22-time NBA All-Star and four-time champion has decided to test the free agency market instead of signing a new contract with the Lakers, the organization he spent the previous eight seasons with.
Now the sweepstakes begin, again. It's the Decision: Part V.
According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, James has instructed his agent Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul to talk to everyone around the league who is interested in him playing for them. James echoed to Paul that he wants to know what his options are so he can make a decision.
Another factors in James' decision is that he wants to play "meaningful, competitive basketball". Additionally, he's still contemplating on whether the 2026-27 season will indeed be his final season, or if he has room for more.

Heads up, sports bettors. Get ready to punch your ticket.
There are a handful of teams that are in the running for James. All 29 organizations should be hearing from Paul about the possibility of James landing with their franchise.
