Could LeBron James leave the Los Angeles Lakers for another team, giving him one last shot at an NBA Finals run? Will he stay with the franchise he helped lead to a title a few years back? We're going to find out with the all-time great facing free agency this offseason.

There are already rumors swirling like crazy. You've got talk that the Golden State Warriors might want to pursue him by acquiring Anthony Davis. There are rumblings of him taking his talents back to South Beach to join Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat. There's talk about one last stop with the Cleveland Cavaliers in his home state. Or maybe the Lakers find a way to keep James despite paying Austin Reaves a huge amount of money.

With all of that in mind, let's help LeBron out. Here are his landing spots, ranked:

4. Cleveland Cavaliers

Meh. I know -- he started there, he returned there to deliver a ring, and it would be poetic for him to end his career near his birthplace of Akron. But I just don't think the basketball situation there is the right one. How does he fit with James Harden and Donovan Mitchell? Do they have any wiggle room to help the team that keeps falling short if they add James?

I'm not seeing it at all. There are better basketball situations for James if that's a big factor.

3. Golden State Warriors

It SOUNDS cool -- James and Anthony Davis back together again, and he gets to play with Olympic pal Steph Curry and good friend Draymond Green. Who cares that this would have been a "super team" years ago? IT'S FUN, DANG IT!

Also, IS Green part of that mix? This could make thing interesting.

I still think this is less of a great situation. LeBron stays in California, but he's on an aging roster that probably doesn't have enough to contend. Is that worth moving for?

2. Los Angeles Lakers

The devil you know, right? We saw how James figured out how to fit in with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Maybe he re-signs for less and the Lakers figure out how to tinker around him for one last attempt at a playoff run. Plus, he gets to play with Bronny another year.

1. Miami Heat

Giannis, LeBron, Bam. Looks pretty darn good on paper. Nikola Jovic and Davion Mitchell are good supporting role players. I've talked myself into this being the best option simply because LeBron knows Pat Riley and Miami. He'd have his best shot at one more ring in South Beach. Would he want to uproot his family again? That's the bigger question. But from a hoops perspective, this would be epic.
