New Crypto Competitor in America: WhiteBIT Opens U.S. Platform with Focus on Safety and Jobs

The United States has seen rapid growth in cryptocurrency adoption, with about 1 in 5 adults—roughly 55 million people—now holding digital assets, according to the 2025 National Cryptocurrency Association. The country ranks second globally in crypto adoption, behind India, rising from fourth place last year as clearer rules, more institutional investment, and the popularity of spot Bitcoin ETFs have helped the market expand.
Amidst this landscape, a new international player is entering the U.S. market. WhiteBIT, a major European crypto exchange, launched its American platform — whitebit.us — on December 1, 2025. The U.S. operation is run separately from WhiteBIT Global and is set up to meet American regulatory requirements as part of the company’s wider expansion strategy. The company has secured its Money Transmitter License (MTL) — the highest license of its kind for operating a crypto platform in the U.S. — and established a dedicated U.S. compliance and operations team based in New York.
WhiteBIT has promoted its U.S. debut with a marketing campaign in Times Square, signaling its intention to compete at scale. The company is already known for high-visibility projects around the world — including partnerships with top football clubs like FC Barcelona and Juventus, work with Visa on a debit card for crypto payments, and hosting the International Crypto Trading Cup, the first live-streamed trading competition of its kind. These efforts reflect WhiteBIT’s ambition to set new standards and stay active in some of the most watched spaces in the crypto industry.
WhiteBIT US emphasizes regulatory compliance and security, building on the track record of WhiteBIT Global. WhiteBIT Global is ranked among the top three exchanges worldwide for security by CER.live, holds the industry’s highest CCSS Level 3 certification, and has never reported a security breach. This expertise and infrastructure will be applied to the U.S. platform as it begins serving American users.
As part of its expansion, WhiteBIT US plans to recruit specialized local talent. The global company already employs more than 1,300 professionals across multiple countries, and the U.S. launch is expected to add roles in compliance, operations, and development. In a recent interview, CEO Volodymyr Nosov emphasized that WhiteBIT prides itself on its strong in-house development team and aims to bring this technical expertise to the United States. The company positions its hiring efforts as part of a broader strategy to build blockchain infrastructure and develop scalable, U.S.-based products.
WhiteBIT is part of W Group, a fintech ecosystem that includes 8 products, such as Whitepay, a platform enabling merchants to accept digital assets, and Whitechain, a blockchain supporting the group’s infrastructure, among others. The native token of Whitechain, WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), has shown steady growth over the past three years and has recently been added to five S&P crypto indices, reflecting growing institutional interest.
Founder and CEO Volodymyr Nosov, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, commented on the U.S. launch in a recent post on X, noting the country’s growing focus on blockchain innovation.
“The United States is doubling down on industry growth and reaffirming its leadership in blockchain innovation. We are here to strengthen that momentum with our hallmark strengths: robust compliance, industry-leading security, and competitive fees, along with profitable earn products that have become a signature feature.”
What makes WhiteBIT’s entry noteworthy is not only its scale, but also what it represents: the globalization of crypto infrastructure at a moment when the U.S. market is primed for greater diversity of providers. With millions of Americans integrating digital assets into their financial lives, the demand for secure, transparent, and competitively priced platforms is higher than ever.
