Harnessing Technology’s Superpower with Trust: How Only IT Services Fills Market Gaps with Proactiveness & Integrity
Only IT Services addresses the evolving IT needs of businesses with a blend of proactive measures, trust, and transparency, working relentlessly to bridge industry gaps.
Whether it is schools passionate about elevating traditional education, healthcare facilities looking for more efficient diagnostics of data storage solutions, or SMBs seeking ways to scale and optimize operations, most enterprises in today’s world augment their processes with technology. Drawn by the promise of increased productivity and improved results, many businesses’ dreams also fade away when reality strikes and a labyrinth of complexities unfolds.
The challenges are vast, some more severe than others, from hardware failures, backup issues, slow performance, software incompatibility, data loss, hacking, and regulatory compliance, to things as trivial as forgotten passwords. These aren’t isolated instances; these are global epidemics affecting all levels of an organization. For example, healthcare facilities faced a record of 725 data breaches in 2023 alone, resulting in more than 133 million records exposed or impermissibly disclosed. Financial implications are no less dire, with the average IT downtime cost inching as high as $9,000 per minute.
The need for trusted, experienced, and proactive professionals that alleviate—or, ideally, prevent—inefficiencies is evident. But in a landscape tarnished by bad actors, where trust and transparency have been broken one too many times, businesses struggle to find experts whose values align with theirs. In 2021, trust in the IT industry has dropped to an all-time low and, according to Nancy Walker, healthcare and education IT specialist and co-founder of Only IT Services, it is yet to be recovered.

Central to this negative trend is, as Nancy believes, an industry-wide tendency to react to crises instead of proactively working on preventing them. “Fixing arising issues within hours, maybe even minutes, is crucial. But what sets a great IT professional apart is their dedication to ensuring that same problem doesn’t happen again,” she stresses. “That’s what truly sets businesses up for success.”
Negative stereotypes permeate the space and, while everyone knows that IT professionals are more than nerdy, introverted geeks unable to connect with others, statistics clearly indicate that communication is a concern. After all, only 4% of IT leaders believe that they know how to effectively communicate with non-IT peers. In an era of digital disruption, these disparities can be detrimental, leading to teams being unable to respond to changing market dynamics with agility.
With tech permeating virtually all sectors and industries, no business is immune to IT-related pain points. Though, on their own, their impact may not be catastrophic, leaving them unresolved may lead to disasters too severe to ignore. “If you can’t trust your IT professional to fix the small things, you certainly won’t trust them to handle big emergencies,” adds Nancy.
On a mission to bridge industry gaps, Nancy co-founded Only IT Services. Operating in the Pacific Northwest, the company focuses on amplifying businesses’ value by delivering high-quality IT services to schools, healthcare organizations, and small businesses. Services range from managed technology to security, project setup and management for mass deployment to networking, virtualization to system monitoring, and so much more. To ensure smooth communication and uninterrupted assistance, Only IT provides 24/7 remote service desk support, with expert staff always ready to answer any customer queries.
At the heart of Only IT is pain point analysis and mitigation. “Just like humans take aspirin when they have a headache, businesses seek the help of IT professionals to soothe their pain points. But both cases only alleviate symptoms without delving into the actual, deeply rooted cause,” the founder says. “Crises can be prevented, and these proactive measures are often simpler than clients believe.”
For instance, a better configuration or network setup is enough to reduce security costs, minimize downtime risk, and foster more effective protection. Implementing these measures is crucial, especially as industries worldwide are evolving at a rate many people struggle to keep up with. “Tech complexities are just the tip of the iceberg. Today, business owners are daunted with anxiety, overwhelmed with uncertainty, and reluctant to embrace cutting-edge solutions without fear,” adds Nancy.
Knowing that making an impact takes time, Only IT guides clients through every step of the process, gradually building trust by translating software formulas into actionable concepts. This philosophy stems from Nancy’s experience in coding, accounting, and sales, combined with her love for problem-solving—which, to her, is just like solving puzzles.
What fueled her mission was a personal failure she faced while working at a tiny, rural hospital during COVID. With more staff working from home and accessing confidential information through other networks, Nancy was aware of the increased hacking threat. Having prompted the hospital to transition half of its employees to a more secure platform, Nancy’s quest was never completed. “Like many businesses, they simply couldn’t justify the price for moving more accounts, for a what-if situation” she recalls. Soon after, the hospital was hit by ransomware, and lost immense amounts of data and, most importantly, patient trust.
“In the end, this crisis led to improvements, and many invaluable lessons were learned,” Nancy adds. “Even though I know I tried my best, I still feel the burden of not stopping the attack before it was too late.”
After witnessing the devastating impact of inadequate IT solutions first-hand, Nancy co-founded Only IT Services with a clear mission: to ensure the businesses she works with don’t face delays, downtime, and other issues that could have been prevented. “You don’t need to understand the ins and outs of technology to improve your organization’s safety. What you need is an IT professional you can trust,” Nancy reflects. “Technology can give us superpowers, and it’s up to people if they will be used for good or malicious reasons. At Only IT Services, we ensure that, regardless of others’ intentions, your business remains safe, sound, and streamlined. That’s what excellence means to us: a high skill set fused with a high integrity level.”
