How to verify your military affiliation

Most brands use a third-party to confirm your military affiliation, like ID.me or GovX.com, both are secure sites. You will need your military Common Access Card for this, so be sure to have it handy. Here is how to verify your military affiliation and receive your discount:
- Go ID.me or GovX.com and create an account.
- You will need to enter information to verify your military status, which may include service branch, date of service and .mil email address if applicable. If you are a military spouse, you may need to enter your spouse's information. You may also be required to upload photos of your CAC, a DD-214 or pay stubs.
- Submit your verification request, ID.me will review your information and provide a confirmation. Confirmation can be provided is as little as five minutes.
- Shop partner sites with a verified ID and receive your military discount!
Keep in mind, some websites may use a different website, but ID.me is one of the most common. Some sites will ask that you register for a one-time discount code and ask you to verify in other ways. Some discounts may not be available to spouses either, only the active duty, reservist or veteran member.
