Video shows dad dressed as Godzilla releasing 'rage' on Tokyo replica

A California woman made her husband's giant reptile fantasy come true.

Sara-Noel Lipman gifted her husband a Godzilla-themed rage room experience for her husband, Jakob, an immigration attorney at Visawolf, who was in dire need of a "stress outlet" after a tough year, according to Storyful.

So, for his birthday, Lipman decided to give him just that.

Worried that she wouldn't be able to "get it together" in time for her husband's birthday on Monday, Dec. 8, Lipman and her youngest son took her husband to a rage room in town, where he "raged" to songs their kids picked out for a few hours.

"The whole way home, all he could talk about was this idea he talked about a few years before, about 'Hey, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Godzilla and you can like, you know, kick down the towers,'" Lipman told USA TODAY.

Even though her husband's birthday was rapidly approaching, Lipman knew she had to make it happen and stayed up late into the night to bring the vision to life. Luckily, her sister and her kids were in town, so she had a couple of extra hands.

'He loved it'

According to Lipman, her husband was "so excited" to get home and destroy the Tokyo replica made of cardboard, Legos and wire while dressed as the famous, radioactive monster. One of Lipman's kids even got into character, donning a King Kong mask to duke it out with "Godzilla."

"He loved it. He put it on and you could tell he really got into it. And he was loving the song and just taking his time," Lipman said. "It was fun."

One of the best parts was seeing her husband "kind of take a load off" and "have fun" because he's such a "fun person," Lipman said.

The experience brought "a lot of joy," as did the flood of positive comments the family received after the video was posted on her daughter's TikTok account.

"It's been really fun for me just to see how much joy it's spreading," Lipman said.
