Will McDonald's new mascot scare kids?

A new McDonald's Happy Meal mascot named Happy is aimed at getting kids to eat healthfully.

But is Happy scary? Some on Twitter think so.

According to a McDonald's release, Happy "will encourage kids to enjoy fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy and wholesome beverages such as water or juice." The fast-food chain introduced the mascot along with the announcement of a low-fat yogurt side option.

But tweeters were more focused on Happy's demeanor, describing the mascot as creepy.
