Here are four of the hottest-selling new vehicles:

Buick Envision: The compact crossover made by General Motors posted a strong 24.8% sales increase in November despite the Buick brand's overall 3% decline for the month.

The Envision's success has delivered a resounding answer to the longstanding question of whether Americans will buy a vehicle made in China: Yes, they will.

With November sales of 2,228 vehicles, the Envision is now Buick's third most popular U.S. vehicle.

Assembled in China and made primarily for that market, the Envision hit the U.S. market in 2016. Americans, currently obsessed with crossovers as passenger cars lose favor amid low gasoline prices, either haven't noticed the car's origin or don't care.

The compact Buick Envision is imported to the U.S. from China. That hasn't been an issue for buyers.

Audi Q5: The sleek crossover vehicle is solidifying its position as the most popular vehicle in the Volkswagen Group luxury brand's lineup.

Sales rose 30.6% to 5,467 vehicles in November, compared with a year earlier. For the year, the mid-size crossover accounts for more than a quarter of Audi's sales.

Without it, the brand would be in a bad place. The Audi A3, A4, A7 and A8 cars were down 20%, 14.4%, 21.4% and 36.7%, respectively.

Chrysler Pacifica: The minivan is the Chrysler brand's standout performer. With Fiat Chrysler Automobiles phasing out most of the brand's lineup, the Pacifica is holding its ground. And more.

Sales of the Pacifica rose 50.7% in November to 13,195 vehicles. Although many American families are flocking into crossovers and SUVs, the Pacific's success shows that the old-fashioned minivan still has plenty of life.

A heavy dose of incentives helped boost the Pacifica in November, too, Autotrader.com analyst Michelle Krebs said.

Volkswagen Atlas: At long last, Volkswagen has a large SUV in its lineup. And it's proving to be a winner.

Having struggled for a prolonged stretch due to a lineup overly populated with passenger cars, Volkswagen finally delivered a big SUV to join the stalwart Tiguan crossover.

The Atlas, which officially started sales earlier this year, is proving crucial to VW's makeover. The company sold 5,154 units of the Atlas in November, nearly equaling the popular Tiguan.
