Corrections and clarifications: This story has been updated to specify that the new locations will be Nordstrom Rack stores and to include updated opening dates.

Nordstrom is set to expand its footprint with 12 new Nordstrom Rack stores opening across seven states in September and October.

The new Nordstrom Rack stores are set to open between Sept. 18 and Oct. 30 this year in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, New York and Texas, a Nordstrom spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY in a statement.

The past year has been one full of change for Nordstrom. In December 2024, the company was acquired for $6.25 billion by Nordstrom family members and the Mexican department store chain El Puerto de Liverpool.

The deal was eventually closed in the first half of this year, with the Nordstrom family owning 50.1% and Liverpool taking the other 49.9%, according to the company.

The chain shuttered two locations this summer, one at the Saint Louis Galleria in St. Louis, Missouri and another at Santa Monica Place in Santa Monica, California.

Here is what you need to know about Nordstrom’s openings.
