Delta Rae's 'Dance in the Graveyards' — premiere

Fans of North Carolina folk-rock group Delta Rae already will know Dance in the Graveyards — the song originally appeared on the group's 2012 album, Carry the Fire. The version premiering at USA TODAY is a new recording from the group's five-song EP Chasing Twisters, due Nov. 19.

Even if Day of the Dead was Nov. 1, Delta Rae's song is very much in keeping with that holiday's spirit of celebrating and remembering loved ones who have left this life.

"The song reflects both my personal attitude toward dying but also how I want to remember the people I love who have passed on," songwriter Ian Holljes said when USA TODAY premiered a music video for Dance in the Graveyards on Halloween in 2012.

In October, Delta Rae premiered the music video for its current single, If I Loved You, which features Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham. That single also appears on Chasing Twisters.
