Watch: Owen Wilson loves his USA TODAY in exclusive 'No Escape' clip

In the action thriller No Escape (in theaters Aug. 26), Owen Wilson is put in harm's way as American businessman Jack Dwyer, who's trying to make a new life in Southeast Asia with his wife (Lake Bell) and kids when they get trapped in a war zone with highly armed militant rebels.

Wilson's character is obviously a good guy, but as it turns out, he also has good taste in newspapers. In this exclusive clip from No Escape, the latest from the Dowdle brothers (As Above/So Below), we see Jack just before all breaks loose pick up a copy of USA TODAY — albeit one that's three days old. Then unfortunately he gets caught right in the middle of the unrest, though when it's time to run for his life, he keeps the USA TODAY safe in his hands. Now that's a true fan.

Fun fact: The paper Wilson has in the clip features a front page from before our September 2012 redesign, and the back page is actually a 1A that is post-redesign, with the blue ball and everything. (Would have been better if he were reading the Life section, but we're not mad, Owen. We still love you in Wedding Crashers.)
