McSteamy is back!

Grey's Anatomy hunk Eric Dane hit the red carpet in Washington Wednesday night for a special premiere of The Last Ship, his new TNT series, debuting June 22. He plays the captain of a ship that may hold the cure for a virus that is wiping out the world.

While some reports said he gained weight for the role, he told us that's not true. "I've always been around 200," he shared. And he looked slim in his suit.

As for the grayer hair he's got in the show? "My hair is naturally gray," says Dane, 41. "That just happened because of my age."

But he is wearing a different uniform.

"Got out of the scrubs and got into the digi blues," he said, referring to the Navy digital blue pattern. "You walk a little taller, stand a little straighter."
