Valerie Bertinelli breaks her foot

Ouch!

Check out the X-ray. That's definitely a broken bone.

Valerie Bertinelli is starting off the new year on the right foot. Her right foot, to be exact. Because her left one is all bandaged up.

The Hot in Cleveland star broke her foot and has been tweeting about it, including sharing a shot of herself in a hospital with the note on Dec. 30: "Surgery tomorrow. That's what I get for trying to chase the cats off the counter... #brokenfoot #ouch."

Later, she added that, "fingers crossed," she'll be running again by spring.
