Michelle Del ReyIce pops sold at grocery stores across the US are being recalled, according to a notice from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
De Dios’s Ice Pops II LLC is voluntarily recalling the products because they may contain undeclared milk, Yellow #5, Red #40, pecans and pistachios, according to the FDA notice.
People who are allergic or have a severe sensitivity to the ingredients may experience a serious or life-threatening reaction from consuming the products, the notice states.
The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection. The inspection revealed that manufacturing processes required improvements to prevent allergen cross-contact. The company has corrected its processes and FDA instructions will ensure the safety of all future production, the recall notice states.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.

What ice pop product is being recalled?

The products being recalled are the 3.7-oz packages of D'Dioses Fruit Pops.
The recall applies to units of the flavors listed below that were produced before April 27, when updated allergen-control procedures were implemented.
The recalled flavors are: coco, fresa con leche, arroz con leche, mamey, guayaba, vanilla, rompope, nuez, pistachio, cookies and cream, pina colada, limon, grocella, mango, tamarindo and nanche.
What states were the recalled ice pops sold in?
The ice pops were distributed to retail grocery stores in the following states:
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Connecticut
What should consumers do if they bought the recalled ice pops?
Consumers who purchased the ice pops are being asked to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.
