Lisa to become first K-pop star with Las Vegas residency
Anna Kaufman"Viva La Lisa!"
K-pop superstar Lisa, a onetime member of genre supergroup Blackpink, has plans to light up the Las Vegas strip. The singer, 29, announced Monday, March 30, that she would kick off a brief residency at Caesar's Palace in November.
Following the release of her debut solo album "Alter Ego," Lisa's Viva La Lisa residency makes her the first K-pop artist to book a stay in Sin City. With four dates at The Colosseum in November, she is occupying rarified air − treading the thin line between solo success and girl group stardom. She just finished touring alongside Blackpink for the Deadline tour in January.

A native of Thailand, Lisa has been a member of Blackpink since moving to South Korea at age 14 to train with the group. After five years of work, Blackpink debuted in 2016 and has released two albums, including the 2022 hit "Born Pink." She has since broken out on her own, not only with her album, but with a high-profile guest spot on Mike White's smash hit HBO series "The White Lotus."
