A former staff writer at The New York Times, Charisse is also a bestselling author who has co-written nine books and is recipient of the American Book Award. While on the staff of the Los Angeles Times, Charisse co-wrote one of the selection of stories that won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the LA riots. For several years, she was the face of USA TODAY's Ad Meter and Charisse has been a frequent contributor to CBS Mornings and Today.
