Take a look at Air Canada's new luxurious cabin designs

Air Canada plans new aircraft interiors featuring lie-flat seats, privacy panels and enhanced in-flight entertainment.

Updated April 15, 2026, 3:08 p.m. ET

Air Canada announced a complete redesign of its long-haul cabins on new aircraft, meant to provide a more elevated travel experience.

The Montreal-based airline unveiled the new design as "its most significant cabin investment" at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, on April 14, according to a news release. The airline said the reimagined cabins mark its first major expression of its new Glowing Heart design standard, inspired by Canada's natural landscapes.

It will roll out this summer on its new Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft. The rest of Air Canada's fleet is also slated for interior upgrades.

This cabin overhaul is the airline's first expression of its new Glowing Heart standard.

"Details matter: we listened closely to feedback and challenged ourselves to create an experience defined by a strong Canadian sense of place, alongside a commitment to craftsmanship, functionality, and long-term durability," said Mark Nasr, executive vice president and chief operations officer at Air Canada, in a statement. "This investment in the care and comfort of our customers is a key element of our New Frontiers growth strategy to become one of the world's leading airlines."

Here's what travelers can expect in the new Air Canada cabins.

Boeing 787-10

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner will be the new flagship of Air Canada's long-haul fleet with four Signature Plus Suites and 38 Signature Class seats.

The center suites on the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner will have retractable panels for a group of four passengers to interact.

The new Air Canada Signature Plus will be a new suite at the front of the aircraft, giving companion seats extra space and privacy.

The two other center suites will have larger beds, a dedicated guest seat and higher walls for privacy. However, for groups of four passengers traveling together, the two center suites will have a fully retractable sliding privacy panel.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner will be one of the airline's first aircrafts with the reimagined cabins.

The rest of the Signature Class seats will have sliding privacy panels and new screens.

Airbus A321XLR

The Airbus A321XLR will fly transatlantic routes from Montreal and Toronto. It will be the first Air Canada single-aisle aircraft with 14 lie-flat Air Canada Signature Class seats. Each will have sliding privacy panels.

The Airbus A321XLR will be the airline's first single-aisle planes with lie-flat seats.

Upgrades for all cabins

New features will be incorporated across all cabins in the new fleet.

Economy class will have new ergonomic seats and larger screens with Bluetooth connection.

Economy and Premium Economy passengers on the new aircraft will enjoy new ergonomic seats "designed to maximize personal space with built-in tablet holders, and larger overhead bins," the airline said.

Airbus A321XLR will also have upgraded Economy and Premium Economy seating.
The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner will have new privacy wings for the Premium Economy cabin.

The screens will also be larger and have Bluetooth audio.

Premium Economy cabins will also get new extended privacy wings.
