Follow along with live updates of all the final-round action at the Masters Tournament.

It took until his 17th trip to Augusta National Golf Club for Rory McIlroy to win his green jacket at the Masters.

He has now won two in back-to-back trips.

McIlroy found some rhythm on the back nine to overcome some adversity and push past the likes of Cameron Young and Justin Rose while outlasting a late surge from Scottie Scheffler to win the 90th Masters Tournament with a score of 12-under par.

He not only earned his sixth-career major championship win and second green jacket, but also became the first back-to-back Masters champion in 24 years, earning a $4.5 million payday from the Masters purse in the process.

Here's what to know about how much McIlroy won in cash prizes by winning the Masters on Sunday:

How much did Rory McIlroy win today?

By winning the 2026 Masters Tournament, McIlroy won the winner's share of the Masters purse: $4.5 million.

Masters Tournament winner's share

McIlroy will head home with $4.5 million in his pocket after winning the 2026 Masters Tournament.

With that $4.5 million payday, McIlroy has now won roughly $6.71 million this season. He won $2.21 in official winnings — including $1.8 million from finishing tied for second at The Genesis Invitational — coming into Augusta this week, according to his PGA Tour profile.

Masters Tournament payout, purse

The purse for the 90th rendition of the Masters Tournament is a record-breaking $22.5 million this season, which is $1.5 million more than last season's purse.

Those who finished below the top 50 earned a share of $55,350 or less, with the exact share being dependent on where they finished in the field. Those who did not make it past Friday's cut — such as Bryson DeChambeau, Fred Couples and J.J. Spaun, to name a few — earned a share of $25,000 from the purse.
