Masters 2026 odds: Rory McIlroy betting favorite heading into weekend
John LeuzziWith two rounds of golf in the books and the playing field trimmed down, it's "Moving Day" at the 2026 Masters Tournament.
Saturday's third round at the Masters is often known as the round for the most aggressive play out of the golfers that made the cut in hopes of trying to make a move up the leaderboard. So, how drastic of a leaderboard change will there be going into Sunday — and how will that impact the oddsmakers?
That remains to be seen. But what's known is that if someone wants to take over the leaderboard, it's going to take an error-free day of golf at Augusta National Golf Club, as defending Masters champion Rory McIlroy is off to a strong start and holds a comfortable six-stroke lead at 12-under par heading into Saturday's third round.
McIlroy set a new Masters Tournament record after Friday's second round by posting the largest 36-hole lead in Masters history. The 2025 Masters Tournament champion is playing rather freely and super confident at Augusta National this season.
So, with McIlroy lapping the rest of the field on the leaderboard, is there anyone close to him on the books? And what's the updated overall look at the betting odds for the Masters from what it looked like at the start of the four-day major back on Thursday?
Here's a look at the updated odds to win the 90th Masters Tournament:
