The shoes were sold for $190 via a 10-minute lottery window on the Nike SNKRS app.
Limited stock is expected to be available through similar lotteries at other retailers.
Fans who missed the shoe release can still purchase other Caitlin Clark apparel and merchandise.

Yeah...Nike's lottery didn't work for us either. Caitlin Clark and Nike released the Kobe 5 Protro x Caitlin Clark "Rookie of the Year" shoes on Wednesday, April 15 at 10 a.m. ET. But, the 10-minute lottery windows were gone in the blink of an eye.

The Rookie of the Year shoes were released on the Nike SNKRS app in a lottery format that granted lucky winners a 10-minute window to purchase the shoes for $190. Within minutes, the shoes were listed as sold out. They are expected to be available at DICK'S Sporting Goods and Foot Locker but in a similar lottery format with even less stock. The USA TODAY Shopping team will be monitoring resale sites like StockX, but don't expect to pay the retail value.
