Bath & Body Works is releasing a sourdough candle with new collection

Bath & Body Works is on a roll.

Weeks after dropping an Easter-themed spring collection in collaboration with Peeps, the body care and home fragrance brand is continuing to inch towards the warmer weather with Rooted, a new collection that embraces "slow living, homesteading, and food forward rituals."

Bath & Body Works, in a press release, said the new collection "taps into the cultural moment where everyday routines, from baking sourdough to making matcha, have become sources of comfort, creativity, and community."

What's in the Rooted collection?

Bath & Body Works Rooted collection spans body care, home fragrance, décor and accessories with scents tapping into what's trending among consumers, such as

• Morning Matcha, with notes of creamy cold foam, fresh matcha and sweet strawberry syrup
• Berry Almond Drizzle
• Carrot Charm, a bright, cheerful blend of sugared musk, orange carrot and juicy nectarine.

Bath & Body Works is also bringing back "fan-favorite seasonal stars," including:

• Off the Vine, a tomato fragrance that was a hit among customers
• Poppy, featuring notes of wild poppies, sugared rhubarb and fresh morning dew.

Sourdough takes center stage

The collection's "standout scent," however, is the 3-Wick Homemade Sourdough Candle, inspired by the "viral baking renaissance." It features notes of freshly baked sourdough, olive oil drizzle and whipped butter. While BBW did not explicitly say, it hinted the candle is a nod to everyone’s favorite pop star baker, Taylor Swift, with the collection launching on her favorite date.

Swift, during an appearance on her then-boyfriend and now fiancé Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast in August last year, revealed her new favorite hobby was sourdough bread.

From cinnamon swirl to blueberry lemon, Swift said her interest in bread making has become an "obsession that has taken over my life."

"It's gotten pretty crazy over here. I'm just always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, "Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback,'" the singer said on the podcast.

Other 3-wick candle fragrances include Spring Apple and Carrot & Nectarine, among others.

Among home decor items is the Beet 3-Wick Pedestal and Veggie Wallflower Fragrance Plug, "which adds a quirky, fresh from the garden touch that instantly brightens any space."

When will Rooted collection from Bath & Body Works be available?

All products from Bath & Body Works Rooted collection will be available to purchase online and in-stores starting March 13.
