Megyn Kelly slams 'Euphoria' creator over Sydney Sweeney baby costume

April 15, 2026, 8:00 p.m. ET

Megyn Kelly accused "Euphoria" creator Sam Levinson of sexualizing infancy over a storyline involving Sydney Sweeney's character, Cassie Howard, who wears a revealing baby costume in an upcoming episode.

In the Season 3 premiere of the HBO series, which aired April 12, Cassie argues with her fiancé, Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), over her plans to make content on the platform while wearing a skin‑baring dog costume. In the promo trailer for Episode 2, slated for April 19, Cassie resumes her OnlyFans endeavors wearing a revealing baby costume, prompting Kelly's criticism.

"She’s dressed as a baby," Kelly said on an April 14 episode of "The Megyn Kelly Show" on SiriusXM. "She’s in a baby’s outfit, she’s sucking on a binkie, and her legs are completely spread. You can have a laugh, of course, because I shocked you, but the truth is this is sexualizing infancy. That’s what this is."

USA TODAY reached out to Levinson's representative for comment.

The former Fox News host also said that there were articles about the episode referring to the costume as a "pretty common kink," to which she responded: "What?! Getting turned on by a baby?"

Later in the show, Kelly expressed disbelief that Sweeney "agreed to this" and condemned Levinson as "sick" for writing this storyline.

Megyn Kelly: Sam Levinson doesn't know 'where the line is'

Kelly also called the new Sweeney scenes "another example of Hollywood not understanding where the line is and how most normal people are going to recoil, even Sydney Sweeney fans, in response to what’s essentially the sexualization of a child, of a baby."

Kelly said Levinson "constantly wants women to take their clothes off for scenes that don’t require them to be nude at all" and that "these women wan to be stars and few say no, but those that do, somehow it leaks because they’re clearly trying to tell us that this guy is, at a minimum, a jerk, and, more than likely, a problem."

Sweeney revealed in a 2022 interview with The Independent that she requested less stripped-down scenes in Season 2, which aired in early 2022, and that Levinson cooperated with her wishes.

"There are moments where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless, and I would tell Sam, 'I don’t really think that’s necessary here,'" she told the outlet. "He was like, 'OK, we don’t need it.' I’ve never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn’t want to do it, he didn’t make me."

Kelly said Levinson has long been "injecting nudity into the Sydney Sweeney scenes so often that she went to him and said, 'Stop doing this, it’s very gratuitous.'"
