Jamie Stockwell is USA TODAY’s Vice President of News.
Stockwell most recently served as Deputy Managing Editor of News at The Washington Post, where she was responsible for driving the digital news day and shaping coverage strategy across teams and platforms.
She was previously the Post’s Executive Local Editor, leading coverage of major news events, investigations and accountability reporting. Prior to The Post, she was the Executive Editor of Axios Local, and earlier roles include Deputy National Editor at The New York Times and Managing Editor of the San Antonio Express-News.
She began her career at The Washington Post, covering criminal justice on the metro staff. Stockwell holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas.
